GRANT FOR LIFE-SAVING

MEMBER URGES INCREASE Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. An increase in the grant to the Royal Life-saving Society was urged by Mr. D. G. Sullivan (Labour —Avon) in the House this evening. He said the very heavy death-roll in New Zealand as a result of drowning was partly due to lack of knowledge of the scientific methods of life-saving. The Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, indicated that the Supplementary Estimates might disclose an increased grant for the Royal Life-Saving Society.
