COURT REFUSES DAMAGES Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. In the Supreme Court today, before Mr. Justice Adams. Godfrey Frederick Shepherd, of Dunedin, mercer, claimed from Douglas Deans, sheepfarmer. Dar-' field, £292 13s 7d, as damages alleged to have been caused to plaintiff's car in a collision with defendant’s car. Plaintiff alleged that dc-fendant drove bis car negligently and at an excessive speed. Defendant denied negligence and asserted that the collision was due to plaintiff’s negligence in not keeping a proper look-out and in driving too fast on the wrong side of the road. After evidence, his Honour said he was satisfied that plaintiff was travelling at an excessive speed. Both parties showed less than the proper care which should have been shown in the circumstances.
