LAZY YOUTH BEFORE COURT
HAMILTON, Today. “He has done three months’ work in the last three years,” said SeniorSergeant Sweeney in the Hamilton Police Court today, when referring to Trevor Child, 20, charged with the theft of a rolled-gold watch valued at £6, the property of R. Goodsell. The evidence showed that Child, when working with the Perpetual Forest Company, Putaruru, entered a tent and stole a watch lying on a bed, pawning it in Hamilton. “Accused was before the Court some years ago and is not a youth of industrious habits,” added the seniorsergeant. Accused was remanded till tomorrow' to enable the Probation Officer to furnish a report -
