OFFICIALS DISMISSED

INFORMATION LEAKAGE IN LONDON BRITAIN HEAVY LOSER (United Service) LONDON, Wednesday. There is perturbation in Government circles over a scandal involving the dismissal of two officials of the Enemy Debts Clearing House. The dismissals followed upon an alleged leakage of information to the benefit of stock and shareholders. According to the “Daily Mail” the leakage had been going on for more than seven years, and had resulted in a loss to Britain running into six figures.

The clearing house is an important department of the Board of Trade, which is now investigating its operations with the assistance of the solicitors to the Treasury.
