GANG WARFARE SYDNEY. Today. Remarkable stories of gang warfares in the Alexandria district v/ith the Town Hall as a battle-ground, were ■told by aldermen at a meeting of the council- One stated that he and the Mayor had been threatened, and he applied for permission to carry a revolver. On the last three occasions that functions had been held In the Town Hall there had been serious fights, and the police had to slil>iSu& them. Two men were taken to hospital as a result of the fights. The Counci! decided to confer with the police for the protection of the district from gang*'-.
