TOP PRICES AT WESTFIELD
TOP prices in the Westfield saleyards yesterday included the following : Extra heavy prime steers from the Waikato sold to Chas. Robertson, Glen Eden, for £22 2s 6d. Cattle from the same line sold to T. Baster, Ponsonby, at that price. Heavy prime steers on account J. W. Anderson, Hinuera, sold to R. Stott, Birkenhead, for £2l. Extra choice prime heifer, on account of a Waikato vendor, sold to F. D. Parsons, Epsom, for £l6 2s 6d; one pen from the same line sold to D. Brideson, Epsom, for £l6. Heavy prime runner, on account H. Windsor, Matangi, sold to A. Couper, Dominion Road, for £8 19s. Small pen of exceptionally choice prime heavy wethers, on account of Northern grazier, sold to H. E. Swaffield, Otahuhu, and the Auckland Meat Company, for 52s to 48s 3d. The pen was exceptional, and no indication of the markets. Pen of choice heavy .prime wethers, on account John Schlaeffer, Paerata, sold to Bridges and Overington, Wellesley Street, for 43s 6d. Pen of extra prime spring lambs, on account W. S. Scott, Dairy Flat, sold to D. Brideson, Manukau Road, for 36s 6d.
