ULIMAROA FOR SYDNEY. —The local office of Huddart, Parker, Ltd., advises that the intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa leaves Auckland at I i a.m. on Friday on her return trip to Sydney. TOFUA SAILS SATURDAY.—At 31 a.m. on Saturday the Union Company’s Island passenger steamer Tofua is to be dispatched from Auckland on her monthly trip to Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. MAILS ARRIVING. —The acting-chief postmaster lias been advised that the R.M.M.S. Aorangi. from Vancouver, due. at Auckland on September 8, has 60« bags of English and American mail for Auckland. NUCULA FOR SAN PEDRO. —The Naval Department advised this morning that the Royal Fuel Auxiliary Nucula, which has been in Calliope Dock having her hull cleaned and painted, was to undock early this afternoon and sail for San Pedro, California, to take in a cargo of fuel oil for the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy. SVOLDER SAILS. —The Norwegian motor tanker Svolder, which had been discharging oil into the Texas Oil Company’s tanks at Freeman’s Bay. in continuation of her voyage from San Pedro sailed yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharging. Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane are the local agents for the vessel. DOCKING MOVEMENTS. The Royal Fuel auxiliary Nucula, which has been in Calliope Dock cleaning and painting, was to undock at 1.30 p.m. today. The tourist steamer Hinemoa, after moving from Western Wharf to Central Wharf, and taking on a heavy lift of machinery there this afternoon, is then to dock in continuation of her refit and overhaul. PRUNUS FROM SEYCHELLES. —The steamer Prunus reached Bluff from the Seychelles Islands on Sunday. The vessel has S.OOO tons of phosphates, of which 5.000 tons will be unloaded at Bluff and the remainder at Auckland. She is expected at Auckland about September 14. A. S. Paterson and Company, Limited, will act as the local agents. MUREX EXPECTED TOMORROW.— The Shell Company states that it expects the tanker Murex to arrive from Borneo tomorrow. Radio advice as to the time of her arrival is expected from her at any time. She will berth at Western Wharf to put out the local consignment of her oil c?irgo and will later proceed to Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharging. SCOTSCRAI G'S DEPARTURE.— Through lack of trucks, it is not expected that ihe Leslie steamer Seotscraig will clear port until Friday. The vessel, which is discharging sulphur from Galveston, Texas, at Queen’s Wharf, is to proceed to Newcastle. Sydney and Port Kembla to complete unloading. A. G. Frankham, Ltd., is the local agent for the Seotscraig. OLDHAM REPORTS.— A wireless message has been received by Dalgoty and Company from the motor-ship Oldham, cn route from New York to Wellington, reporting that she expects to arrive at Wellington tomorrow morning. The vessel will put out part cargo there and will also load for Madras and Bombay. Site is to leave again on Saturday for Sydney, Adelaide, Fremantle Madras and Bombay. CANADIAN HIGHLANDER DUE TOMORROW.—Advice from the local office of the Canadian National Steamships states that the Canadian Highlander is expected to arrive in port from Wellington about noon tomorrow, when she will berth at King’s Wharf. She will complete her loading for New York, Boston and Montreal here, and it is hoped to dispatch her for those ports on Friday afternoon. NORTHUMBERLAND AT WELLINGTON.—The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Federal steamer Northumberland, which ax-rived at "Wellington this morning from Lyttelton, leaves on Saturday for Napier. Gisborne and Auckland to complete her loading. She is due here on September 15 and is scheduled to sail finally from this port three days later for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, via Panama. THE NEW WESTRALI A.— The Hud-dart-Parker Company's new motor-ship Westralia is en route from Greenock to Sydney and will be employed in the Sydney-Fremantle passenger and cargo service. She is scheduled to leave Sydney for Fremantle, via ports, on September 28. The vessel is 9.240 tons gross. The Westralia will replace the Zealandia, which will be transferred to the Sydney-Hobai-t service and is scheduled to sail from Sidney on September

PLUME WITH OlL.—The Vacuum Oil Company’s tanker Plume is scheduled to load bulk oil at San Francisco for discharge at Auckland, "Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. KAWAT IRI FOR AUSTRALIA. —The local office of the Union Company advises that the collier Kawatiri is leaving Auckland on Friday for Fort Kembla and Newcastle to load for Auckland again. AORANG! RETURNING. —En route from Vancouver and way ports, the Union Company’s R..M.M.S. Aorangi is due at Suva at 11 a.m. tomorrow, and sails again at 5 p.m. for Auckland. She is due here on Sunday afternoon, and Is in the meantime announced to leave again at 11 p.m. on Monday for Sydney. POOLTA WITH TIMBER.—The local office of the Union Company advises that the steamer Poolta leaves Grafton tomorrow for Port Stephens and Newcastle to fill up for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Bluff. She is expected to clear Newcastle on September 10. KAITANGATA LEAVES HOBART. Cabled news has been received by the Union Company that the Kaitanprata, from South Australian ports and Melbourne. left Hobart at 6 a.m. on Saturday for Tiraaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Auckland and Portland. 45he is due at Timaru tomorrow. PASSENGERS ON COMORlN.—Russell and Somers, Limited, have received advice that the following passengers for New Zealand are travelling by the P. and O. liner Comorin, which is due at Sydney from London tomorrow:—Mr. Barlow, Mr. Wilson, Miss Robertson, Mrs. Dow, Mr. and Mrs. Speering, Mr. and Mrs. Paish, and 11 Indians. MAKURA AND MAHENO. —The Union Company’s intercolonial steamers Makura and Maheno arrived at Sydney yesterday, the Makura from Wellington in the morning and the Maheno from Auckland at one o’clock in the afternoon. On Friday the Makura leaves for Auckland and the Maheno for Wellington. They are due back in New Zealand next Tuesday. NARBADA IN PORT.—The IndioPacific Company’s steamer Narbada, formerly the Leitrim, arrived in the stream at Auckland this morning from Calcutta and way ports. Later she was berthed at the Prince’s Wharf. The vessel, which was owned by the Union Company and operated by the Federal Company, was loaded with coal at Cardiff for Colombo. She cleared the Welsh port on May 30, and after a fine-weather trip, arrived at Colombo on July 3. The coal was discharged and she left a fortnight later for Calcutta. The latter port was left on August 2, and calls were made at Penang, Singapore, and Samarang. Samarang was cleared on August 18 and good weather was experienced until two days ago, when she ran into a south-westerly moderate gale and seas. The Narbada has brought a full cargo of Eastern products for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. Shg is expected to leave here on Friday. Awarua. —Kaiapoi, Karetu, Manuka, Hororata, Raranga, C. A. Larsen. PORT OF ONEHUNGA—ARRIVALS TODAY NGAPUHI (7.30 a.m.), 703 tons, Bark, from New Plymouth. ARAPAWA should return to port from Opunake and Wanganui on Friday. HAUTURU, due from Raglan, Kawhia and aikato Heads at 6 a.m. tomorrow, is scheduled to sail for Hokianga at 3 p.m*. that day. HOKIANGA, at present in Auckland undergoing her overhaul and survey, is to unslip this afternoon and take up a berth. It is hoped to dispatch her for Hokianga with cargo on Friday afternoon. KAITOA is expected to return to port about Sunday next to load for Nelson and Motueka. NGAPUHI arrived this morning from New Plymouth, and is to be dispatched for that port again at 3 o’clock tomorrow afternoon.
