MOTHER DEAD IN BED

GIRL’S TRAGIC DISCOVERY FATHER PREVIOUSLY KILLED Tragedy haunts a young family named Partridge living in Ihkerman Street, Onehunga. COME three years ago the father was struck by a boom and knocked overboard from a launch on the Manukau Harbour. His body was never recovered. This morning the Onehunga police received word that his widow, Mrs. Daisy Gertrude Partridge, had died suddenly during the night. Mrs. Partridge retired, apparently in her usual health, at about 9.30 p.m. with her daughter, aged 17. Early this morning, when Miss Partridge awoke, she discovered that her mother, lying beside her, was dead. An inquest will be held tomorrow morning by the district coroner, Mr. D. A. Sutherland.
