The new Federal liquor taxes have bought about an all-round increase in retail prices of beer over the filter, which will cost Id extra a •lass or pint. The price of a half Pint will be increased from 4d to sd, of a pint from Sc! to 9d. Whisky be increased from Sd to 9d a class. Victoria the hotelkeepers have the prices of bottled ales spirits only. Similar action has taken in Queensland.
