RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM

“MODERN MARRIAGE” The excellent double-Cehture programme now being screened at both the Rialto and Regent, Epsom, Theatres, is headed by the film “Modern Marriage,” an unconventional but very interesting tale of matrimonial troubles, starring Betty Bronson and Alec B. Francis. “The Whirl of Life,” which is the second attraction, stars two good-look-ing young continental stars, Fay Malten and George Alexander, as trapeze artists, in an exciting circus story. Edward Royce, regarded as one of the foremost directors of revues and musical melodies on New York’s Broadway, staged the many numbers that go to make up “Fox Movietone Follies of 1929,” the first musical revue ever produced for the sound screen.
