PROGRAMMES INTERRUPTED An unlicensed radio transmitting set which, had been causing considerable interference over a large area to listeners on broadcast wave-lengths was located recently by the radio isnpector, Mr. Scull, with direction-finding apparatus. On Saturday a youth of 16 was charged in the Juvenile Court with owning and operating the station, which was of a prohibited design. The lad admitted that he knew it was illegal to transmit without a licence, but said he thought hia signals would not carry very far. The magistrate, Mr. E. C. Cutten, admonished the boy severely, ordering him to pay the costs of the prosecution.
