WEDDING AT HUNTLY
RETINUE IN RAINBOW HUES BLACK—GAVIN The Knox Church at Huntly was charmingly decorated for the wedding of Jean, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Gavin, of Huntly, to Alfred, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Black, of Pukemiro Junction. The bridal gown was of ivory marocain, and the veil of beautiful lace formed a short train. A bouquet of white roses was carried. The service, conducted by the Rev. M. C. Gibb, was choral, and Miss Flossie Starr presided at the organ. The bridesmaids were Misses Mary Gavin and Jean Fisher. Miss Gavin wore palest green crepe de chine, with head-dress and bouquet to tone, and Miss Fisher was in palest lilac. Little Lucy Bullough, the flower girl, was in prettiest primrose satin. She carried a basket of daffodils. Mr. Alick Black was best man, and Mr. Tom Gavin groomsman. After the ceremony a largely-at-tended reception was held. Mrs. Gavin received her guests wearing a navy blue crep© de chine costume. with toning silk coat. Mrs. Black’s dress was of flowered crepe de chine. Among the guests present were:—Mrs. R. Gardner, Mrs. Tom Black, Mrs. W. Fleming, Mrs. J. Fleming, Mrs. Learning, Mrs. Cox, Mrs. Fisher, Mrs. Chas Starr, Mrs. H. Bond, Mrs. Scurr, Mrs. D. Riley, Mrs. T. Gardner, Mrs. W. Bullough, Mrs. A. Ashley, Misses Olive and Jean Black. E. Gardner. Minnie Tate, R. Davis, F. Starr and M. Spence.
