SUNDAY EVENING ENTERTAINMENT
The entertainment provided at the Majestic Theatre - every Sunday evening by the Rationalist Association has proved very popular and another large audience should be present at the varied programme to be presented tomorrow. First there will be twenty minutes of gramophone records, when such favourites as Chaliapin, Caruso and Kreisler will be heard. An interesting talk, which will be illustrated by lantern slides, will be delivered by Mrs. M. Drury. Her subject will be “Beauties of Britain. Finally, there will be screened the outstanding film, “The Docks of New York,” starring George Bancroft, Baclanova and Betty Compson. AKARANA YACHT CLUB DANCE The Akarana Yacht Club will hold its annual Saturday evening dance at the Clubhouse, Mechanics’ Bay, this evening. A free bus service will run from Endean’s Buildings. Clark and McCullough ha\’e just finished their newest Movietone com-, edy, W’hich is called “All Steamed up.” They have started on a comedy mystery story by Andres Bennison under the direction of Norman Taurog, who has handled most of their pictures.
