ARRIVALS GREATER

PORT PASSENGER TRAFFIC More people arrived at Auckland on vessels during the month than those who left. Boats reaching Auckland brought 995 passengers for the port, and the departures were 764. Of the arrivals, 556 were male adults, 368 female adults, and 71 children; and, of the departures, 410 were male adults, 285 female adults, and 69 we.re children. A greater number of vessels reaching and leaving the port last month caused a larger passenger traffic. In August last year the outgoing passenger traffic exceeded easily the number of incoming passengers.
