DE LA CIERVA ASTOUNDS SPECTATORS (Australian and .V. Z. Press Association) (United Service) NEW YORK, Wednesday. At the Aerial Exhibition at Cleveland, Ohio, today Senor Juan de la Cierva, of Spain, amazed crowds of spectators with performances in his gyroscope. He showed it at high speed and in a stationary position in the air. He also demonstrated its ability to alight on a bull’s-eye marked on the ground. The Navy dirigible Los Angeles, for the first time in public, hooked flying airplanes in the air, held them for a short time and then released them again.
