Dr. 11. "W. Wilson sailed by the Maheno today on a trip to Australia. Lieut.-Colonel E. G. Fraser returned from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Mr. E. Aldridge, Mayor of Devonport. returned to Auckland this morning from Wellington. Canon Strong, of Hamilton, left for Wellingtgon last evening by the Limited. Captain R. C. Hammond, general manager of the Northern Steamship Company, returned from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Mr. R. Watarai, of the Department of Agriculture and Forestry, Japan, is visiting the Dominion, and is at present in Dunedin. Mr. Archibald Sando. of Wellington, is at present in Auckland and is the guest' of his brother. Mr. Sando recently relinquished the position of general manager of "The Dominion” newspaper. Mr. D. Freeman, who has been in charge of the Xgahapi school for several years, has been appointed headmaster at Te Toro, near Waiuku. He will take up his new duties after the holidays. Commodore G. T. C. P. Swabey. Commodore of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, travelled to Wellington by train last evening.
