FARM TRAINING CAMPS
MR. J. N. MASSEY’S SUGGESTION
(THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, Today.
Agricultural training camps for boys just leaving school were advocated in the House yesterday by Mr. J. N. Massey (Franklin). Mr. Masseypointed out that parents were not always able to start their boys in life and contended that such camps established on undeveloped land would teach both the practical and theoretical sides of farming. They could develop the land under the supervision of expert farmers, and eventually rould buy it at cost price or at an ordinary valuation.
