Mr. J. Tapley. ex-Mayor of Wellington. left for the South last evening. Mr. P. R- Sargood arrived tn Auckland this morning by the Limited from Wellington. The Hon. C. J. Carrington, M.L.C.. travelled to Wellington by train last evening. Mr. Dynes Fulton, who has been visiting Wellington, left the Limited gt Frank ton Junction this morning. Mr. L. C. Hawk, manager of the Gore branch of the Bank of Australasia, has been appointed manager of the Taihape branch. Mr. J- M. Ruddy, who has been representing the Alexander Hamilton Institute in Auckland, leaves for Australia by the Maheno tomorrow. Major-General R. Young. C. 8., C.M.G.. D. 5.0.. 0.0. C. New Zealand Military Forces, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. H. P. Richmond, of the firm of Buddie, Richmond, and Buddie, who j*as recently undergone an operation for appendicitis, is making a satisfactory recovery. The Hon. E. W. Alison who, for the past fortnight, has been confined to his home at Takapuna, is sufficiently recovered to be able to leave his room during the warm hours of the day. Mr. G. W. Marshall, from 30 applicants from all over the Dominion, hasbeen appointed manager of the Waitohu Dairy Factory, near Blenheim. Mr. Marshall was recently first assistant at the Opunake Dairy Factory.— PA. A party of medical men from various parts of New Zealand left Wellington by the Tahiti to attend the medical conference which is to be held in Bydney.
