WAIPAHI SAILS.—The Union Company*s Island fruit steamer Waipahi was dispatched from Auckland yesterday aiternoon for Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Atiu and Mauke to load again for this port. THE LINCOLN ELLSWORTH.—The Norwegian motor-tanker Lincoln Ellsworth, 5,580 tons, has been chartered to load bulk oil at California for New Zealand or Australia. lONIC AT PANAMA.—En route from Wellington to London, the Shaw, Saviil and Albion liner lonic is reported to have reached Panama last Tuesday. She was dispatched from Wellington on August PAPANUI’S CHARTER.—The Federal Line steamer Papanui, which is en route to New Zealand from West Coast ports of Great Britain, will after discharge proceed from New Plymouth to Australia to load wheat for Europe. PORT DUNEDIN CLEARED COLON. —The Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Dunedin, which sailed from Wellington for London on August 2, is reported to have cleared Colon last Tuesday. MAUI POMARE RETURNING.—Advice has been received by Spedding, Limited, that the Government motor-ship Maui Pomare, from Apia, Samoa, left Niue Island on August 26 for Lyttelton. Wellington and Auckland. She Is due at Lyttelton about September 3. PIRI SAILS TOMORROW.—The Nobel Explosive Company’s auxiliary schooner Piri, berthed at Central Wharf, is now engaged loading general cargo for Noumea and Brisbane. Mr. C. E. Campbell, local agent for the Piri, announces that she is to sail for those ports tomorrow afternoon. HUIA FOR SYDNEY.—The Nobel Exglosive Company’s auxiliary schooner [uia, at present discharging grain from Southern ports at Central Wharf, is to start loading timber for Sydney as soon as she is unloaded. Mr. C. E. Campbel, the vessel’s local agent, advises that she is to sail on Monday night. SVOLDER FROM SAN PEDRO.—An expected arrival at Auckland on Saturday is the Norwegian motor-ship Svolder with a full cargo of bulk oil from San Pedro for the Texas Oil Company. The cargo is for discharge at Auckland. Lyttelton and Dunedin. Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., will act as the local agents. ARLINGTON COURT AND SCOTSCRAIG FROM GALVESTON. A. G. Frankham, Limited, advises that the steamers Arlington Court and Scotscraig, both inward bound from Galveston, Texas, with cargoes of sulphur, are due in port tomorrow. No radio advice has yet been received from either vessel as to the time of her arrival. They are both to berth at Queen’s Wharf. SOUTHERN CROSS RETURNS.—The Melanesian Mission steamer Southern Cross arrived in the stream at Auckland at 12.20 p.m. today from the New Hebrides. The vessel has been absent from Auckland since July 14 on her periodical cruise to the mission stations in the South-west Pacific. The vessel will be in port until September 23, when she is to sail again for the Islands. ROTORUA'S LOADING.—The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the liner Rotorua is scheduled to load at Auckland for England from October 7 to 10. The vessel will complete loading at Wellington and afterward sail from that port for Southampton and London on October 19. At present the vessel is en route from. London to New Zealand with general merchandise for discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton and Bluff. She is due at Wellington on September 6. PASSENGERS FOR SYDNEY.—The Royal Mail liner Tahiti left Wellington for Sydney on Tuesday evening In continuation of her voyage from Scm Francisco. She is due at Sydney on Saturday and is to sail the following Thursday on her return voyage to Wellington and San Francisco. KINT AT LONDON.—The Federal Line steamer Kent Is reported to have reached London from New Zealand last Tuesday. She was dispatched from Auckland on July 19. KARTIOI LEAVES BRISBANE. Cabled news has been received by the Union Company that the Kartigi left Brisbane at 9 p.m. on Sunday with coal for Wellington. She is due there on Saturday. SURREY LEAVES CURACAO.—The New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified by cable that the Federal steamer Surrey left Curacao on Sunday for London. en route from Wellington. The vessel sailed from Wellington on PAPANUI LEAVES PANAMA.—CabIed news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Papenui arrived at Colon on Friday from Liverpool and sailed from Panama on the same day for Auckland. Wellington, Xgrttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. The vessel Is due at Auckland on September 18. TASMANIA EXPECTED.—No wireless advice has been received yet from the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tasmania, which is scheduled to reach Auckland from Liverpool today. She has general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Cargo for Auckland will be unloaded at Queen's Wharf.
