MEMBERS OF “APPLESAUCE” COMPANY ENTERTAINED SUPPER AND DANCING A cheery little dance party was ; given at Aliss Daphne Knight’s studio 1 in Khyber Pass last evening for Aliss ; Ruth Xugent and other members of i the “Applesauce” Company, who ar- j rived alter the theatre performance. j Aliss Knight’s artistic dance room is ■ ideally arranged for a social gathering, j and the guests danced to the excellent- j music played by Mrs. D. Brassey and ' Air. Robert Adam. A frock of floral chiffon in tones of ; Egyptian green was worn bv Aliss : Knight. Miss Xugent had on a peacock frock !of beige georgette with soft draperies of ! lace. Aliss Bedford’s fi'oek was wedgwood ! ! blue ciel lace. Miss Alartyn had on opalescent tulle, ‘ i with uneven hem. Airs. Burnes Loughnan was distinctive I in black ring velvet. Mrs. P. Crisp wore orange and autumn ! tinted floral chiffon. Miss Burnes Loughnan's frock was rcse georgette beaded in crystal. Mrs. Praden chose black georgette. Airs. Esmond Napier was in orchid taffeta with ciel blue relief. Airs. Eldon Xapier wore a period frock of cameo pink georgette. Airs. H. Gi'lespie's frock was white satin with crystal applique. Airs. Burden had on black crepe de Ali-s. Richard Loughnan was in eau de nil georgette. Aliss Dot Steele’s frock was citronne charmeuse. Miss Kathleen Lowe was frocke in black tulle. Aliss Bettj* Keenan was frocked in capucine georgette with iridescent embroideries. Miss Xancarrow wore gentian blue satin. HOSPITAL ENTERTAINMENT COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS’ CONCERT PARTY On Saturday evening an enjoyable entertainment was given by the Auckland Commercial Travellers’ Concert Party to the children in the General Hospital. The programme included items by Air. and Airs. Tollerton, Air. and Airs. H. Watts, Alisses Dorothy Youd and Alina Scott, Alessrs. Rex Y’ates, Dudley Wrathall; also Alisses Helene, Nona, Pattie and Aloira Watts and Alaster Hal Watts. The programme was thoroughly enjoyed by the children, who were delighted with the entertainment, particularly with the numbers and impressions of the concert party given by the Watt children.
