VAGRANT FOUND ASLEEP ON SECTION NOW IN “ARMY’S” CARE With the sky as a roof and a bundle of newspapers as his coverlet, James Francis Ford was found asleep in an empty section early this morning. He was charged at the Police Court this morning with being idle and disorderly, having insufficient lawful means of support. Ford, a painter aged 43, pleaded not guilty, remarking that he had arrrived in the City from Waihi on Monday. Constable Carson told the court of hoAV he had found the man sleeping. He had then only Is 9d in his possession. Captain Holmes, of the Salvation Army, said that a place could be found for the man in the home. His story was that he had come up to the City from Waihi with a little money, but had been robbed. He was a pensioner. The case was dismissed.
