The Glen Eden Town Board, pursuant j to the provisions of Section 9 of the Local | Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and under authority of a Resolution of the Local Government Loans Board, passed at a meeting on July 23, 1929, hereby gives notice: — I.—That it proposes to engage in the ■ following undertakings which it is duly authorised by the law to do, viz., Formation, improvement and metalling Upper Brandon Street, Waimai Road and Claybum Road, from Brandon Road to West Coast Road, in the Glen Eden Town District. 2. —That the Board, being unable to provide funds for such work out of its ordinary revenue, proposes to raise a Special Loan for such purpose. 3. —The sum proposed to be borrowed is £950, at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 10s per centum per annum. 4. —That the security for the said Loan will be a special rate of 14-64 pence in the £ on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Glen Eden Town District. 5. —That the said Loan will be repayable at the end of 20 years with provision for establishing a sinking fund of £3 per centum per annum, calculated on the amo'unt raised. 6. —lt is proposed to pay out of the loan the preliminary expenses and costs of raising the loan, but not the interest and sinking fund for the first year.
