NEXT SATURDAY NIGHT TRAMMIES' CHARITY CARNIVAL. MONSTER PROCESSION Of Decorated and Illuminated Vehicles, etc., will leave foot of Queen St. at 7 p.m. and proceed up town, via Queen St. Wellesley Street East, to St. Paul’s Corner, Symonds St. This will indicate the way to Blandford Park, where a Titanic Soccer Battle will be fought between the mighty champions— H.M. Navy v. Trammies This match will begin at 8 p.m., but will be preceded by a fast and furious encounter between two weirdly costumed armies who have sworn “Death or Glory.” The winning team will be captained by JASPER CALDER. Unfortunately no referee can be persuaded to control this curtain-raiser, as it is known that the opposing captain EATS REFEREES for breakfast. JASPER is so thin (with financial worries) that no one will try to eat him. so JASPER WILL BE REFEREE AS WELL AS WINNING CAPTAIN. Admission to BLANDFORD PARK 1s (a bob). Stand 1s Extra. All proceeds will be divided between SISTER ESTHER S BENEVOLENT WORK And JASPER S CITY MISSION. NOTICE. QUEEN STREET Business Men j are invited to illuminate their premises from 7 to 8 on Saturday night. Any firm so desiring may j display an exhibit on a decorated vehicle in the procession. Line lip in Quay Street near Roller Mills at 6.45 Pip Emma. Three I Bands will taks part in the procession. j W. RAINBOW, Hon. Sec. Tramways Relief Committee. Paramount will shortly commence the lilming of a new musical comedy, titled'“Sweetie.” It will be a story or' college life, and the principal roles will be played by Nancy Carroll.
