\ NOTHER week-end work out over 12 furlongs that was of interest was the bout between Goldman (Sam Roe) and Polly’s Picture (Geo. Mitchell). The former was unhoppled, but the Gold Bell gelding can step merrily when free-legged. The journey was negotiated at a fairly even clip over the mile, and the pair brushed along quicker from the four furlong mark to the judge’s box. finishing on terms. Polly’s Picture was always doing it nicely and the task should benefit both pacers.
