Mr-/■ A Young ’. Mp ■ arrived in Hamilton this morning from Wellington. The Hon. W. H. Mclntyre, MLC arrived in Auckland from Wellington this morning. Mr. R. H. Parton, of Sydney, arrived this morning by the Niagara and is staying at the Central Hotel. Bishop Kenipthorne. Bishop of Polynesia. is in Auckland and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. E. T. Reece, of Christchurch, reached Auckland this morning, by the Limited from Wellington. Mr. H. L. Tapley, formerly Mayor of Dunedin, is visiting Auckland and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Dr. and Mrs. McQuilkin were among ihe passengers who arrived in Auckland this morning by the Limited from Wellington. Dr. Howard Coverdale. of Auckland will leave tor Sydney by the Tahiti tomorrow to attend the medical congress. Mr. P. R Angus, assistant-chief mechanical engineer of New Zealand Railways, and Mr. S. H. Jenkinson also of the headquarters staff, arrived from Wellington this morning! Canon William Pancourt arrived from Palmerston North by the Limited Ihis morning. He will succeed Canon Percival James at St. Mary’s, Parnell. Mr. E. J. Grey, who has just retired iioni the position of managing director of the Atlantic Union Oil Company in Australia, is a through passenger on the -Niagara on his way to America. Mr. A E. Ford, manager of the Auckland tramways, and Mrs. Ford returned to Auckland today by the -Niagara after spending a holiday in Australia. Mr. H. G. Bell, who has relinquished the position of chief reporter of the New Zealand 1 Herald” to become associate-editor of the ’ Dominion ” Wellington, left for Wellington by train last evening. Mr. P. M. Thomson, of the Norwich Union Life Insurance Company, arrived from Sydney by the Niagara this morning and is staying at Glenalvon. He is accompanied by Mrs. Thomson and Miss Ray Thomson. Dr. Simon Papp, geologist of the Anglo-Persian Oil Company, who has spent the last IS months in Papua searching for oil, is a through passenger on the Niagara. He is returning to England via Canada. Mr. Justly Rawlings, general manager of Anthony Hordern and Sons. Ltd., Sydney, arrived by the Niagara this morning. He is accompanied by Mrs. Rawlings and will spend a holiday at Rotorua. Captain A. R. A. Macdonald, of the Royal Navy, was among the Niagara’s passengers for Auckland this morning. With his wife he has been toilring in Australia and will spend a little time in New Zealand before returning Home. Mr. Stirling Rogers, of Stirling Rogers. Ltd., one of the contracting dims associated with the building of the new Civic Theatre, returned on the Niagara today after a flying visit to Australia. Mr. Preston Chambers, president of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors, and Messrs. C. Grierson and M. H.
