A SUCCESSFUL YEAR WAIKATO CLUB A successful season is reported by the committee of the Waikato Racing Club in its annual report for the year ended July 31. 1929. A profit of £4Ol was made, after allowing for depreciation at the rate of 5 per cent, on buildings, and 10 per cent, on plant and transferring £BB to the bad debts reserve account. The totalisator receipts totalled £15,236, being an increase of £1,209 against the previous year’s figures. The sum of £8,299 was paid in taxation.
