JEWELLERY THEFT

SUSPECT REMANDED Albert James Barnes, a labourer aged 31, described as having no fixed place of abode, was charged at the Police Court this morning with the theft of a gold ring valued at £3 from a woman in Takapuna on July 24. Following the request of Chief-De-tective Hammond, a remand was made for a week in order that further inquiries might be made.
