Sir George Elliot, who has been visiting Wellington, returned by the Limited this morning. The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy. Minister 0 f Health, arrived in Auckland this morning from Wellington. Mr. Justice Ostler will leave for Hamilton on Monday evening to preside over the Supreme Court sessions which commence on Tuesday. Mr. D. W. Ardell, Under-Secretary for tiie Department of Internal Affairs, reached Auckland from 'Wellington this morning by the first express. Mr. W. J. Jordan, Mr. J. X. Massey, Mr. H. R- Jenkins, Mr. H. G. R. Mason Mr. A. M. Samuel, members of parliament, arrived from Wellington this morning by the Limited. The Hon. J. B. Donald, PostmasterGeneral, arrived from Wellington this morning by the Limited. He will go South again tomorrow evening and will be accompanied by Mrs. Donald. Commodore Geoffrey Blake, C. 8., D. 5.0., who is to succeed Commodore Swabey in the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, will arrive in Wellington on September 6 by the Rotorua, and Commodore Swabey will leave early in the month by the Maheno for Sydney, where he will join a Homeward bound vessel. Mr. J. S. Marais, senior lecturer in history at Capetown University, South Africa, will represent the University of New Zealand and Victoria University College, at the centenary celebrations of his university.
