AN INFORMAL PARTY

i MORNING TEA FOR MRS. HOLMAN | MRS. C. E. MAGUIRE IS HOSTESS Mrs. C. E. Maguire was hostess at a delightfully informal morning tea yesterday at her home when quite a large number of guests were invited to meet Mrs. Holman, J.P., of London. ! Vases of yellow daffodils and fragrant spring flowers made the rooms look very attractive and to receive her guests Mrs. Maguire wore a smart frock of navy blue georgette. Mrs. Holman gave a very interesting talk on the work of women at Home and a very pleasant morning was passed. Among the guests were: Lady Sinclair-Loekhart, Ladv Carrick Robertson. Mrs. W. J. Xapier, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. S. A. Stride. Mrs. Woolcott. Mrs. Marler. Mrs. Tewslev, Miss Tewsley. Melbourne, Mrs. Milsoni. Miss Janet Murray. Mrs. Gould. Mrs. Blackwood. Mrs. Hull, Miss Allen and Miss Pencarrow. PROGRESSIVE 500 | COURT HINEMOA TOURNAMENT Court Hinemoa, A.0.F., held a progressive five-hundred tournament last evening, the proceeds being devoted to the Court’s management fund. Xine tables were occupied, and an enjoyable evening’s play resulted in the trophies being won by Miss Ida Tucker and Mr. F. Marlow/ The consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs. Graham and Mr. Gunn.
