CAUGHT IN RAID

SIX MEN IN SLY-GROG SHOPS; Found on the premises when the ■ police raided two sly-grog shops in Hobson Street recently, six men were each fined £2 and costs at the Police Court this morning. The names of the men were Frank Ashman, John Begley, Francis Leo Credin, Nicholas Sanders, Thomas Dalton and Frank Newald. According to police evidence the raids were made on the evening of July 27 about 8.30. The men charged had been found in the back room of the two shops raided. There had been liquor and glasses on. the tables.
