MR. RAMSAY MACDONALD
ENDEAVOURS TO HASTEN VISIT TO U.S. JOURNEY EARLY IN OCTOBER (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11 a.m. WASHINGTON, Wed. It is authoritatively indicated that the Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, is endeavouring to hurry his visit to the United States, and hopes to sail within six weeks. It is learned that direct word from London indicates that Mr. MacDonald is arriving at Washington in the first week in October. He is expected to remain about a fortnight, and reception plans are being made, but it has not been determined whether he will be the guest of President Hoover or the British Ambassador, Sir Esme Howard.
