WAIUKU CANAL

HARBOUR BOARD INTEREST INFORMATION SOUGHT (From Our Owit Correspondent) HAMILTON, Today. The intimation that it was vitally interested in the Waiuku Canal project was given by the Auckland Harbour Board in a letter received by the Hamilton Borough Council at its meeting last evening. The suggestion was made that a committee of the board should meet a committee of the council. The Mayor, Mr. J. R. Fow, said it was extremely satisfactory that the board was so enthusiastic about the scheme and had asked the council for data. A motion authorising preparation of information for the use of the board was carried.
