NOVEL SAFETY FACTOR SUGGESTED NOTED SURGEON’S ADVICE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 10.30 a.m. HONOLULU, Tues. Sir James Barrett (Melbourne), speaking on ocular symposium at the Pan-Pacific Conference of Surgeons, urged uniform standards of vision for those employed in navigation and railways, pointing out that the recent wreck in Australia would have been avoided if such regulations were enforced. He stated the navy standard of the Victorian pilot service was ideal.
