FRENCH LINER BURNED

FIRE DAMAGE TOTALS £640,000 IN DOCK AT HAVRE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) PARIS, Tuesday. Damage estimated at £640,000 was caused by fire which broke out on the General Transatlantic Company’s liner Paris. Many of the elaborately-fitted cabins on the liner were destroyed by the fire. The vessel was in dock at Havre when the outbreak occurred. The Paris is a vessel of 34,560 tons.
