GRAND AND LYRIC
“THE WOMAN FROM LUNA” “If you catch her you may kiss her.” That was what the boss of a concession known as "Hell,” in a seaside amusement park, told the boys about the girl who served as his entertainer. A city “sheik” caught “The Woman from Hell” one day and received his reward. To the woman it was the last straw—for some time she had been disgusted with her life as the lady Satan, and now she wanted more than ever to get away from it. But how about the boss? Was she shackled to him because he had given her a living? These are the questions which make a thrilling finale to “The Woman from Luna,” now at the Grand and Lyric Theatres. “Beggars of Life,” which is also being shown, is a strong dramatic tale of tramps, and murder, starring Louise Brooks, Richard Arlen and Wallace Beery. The title of Adolphe Menjou's first all-talking picture for Paramount has been changed from “The Concert” to “Fashions in Love,” Fay Compton, famous English actress, is playing opposite Menjou, and other well-known j members of the cast are John Miljan and Joan Standing.
