PT. CHEVALIER FIRE
FIREMAN INJURES WRIST Shortly after five o’clock this morning fire broke out in a house in Shakespeare Road, Point Chevalier, the hall and rafters being badly damaged. •Except for slight spoiling by smoke the rooms escaped. The City Fire Brigade answered the call. No cause for the fire has been found, nobody being in the house at the time of the outbreak. The house is owned by Mr. Lamb, of Remuera, and occupied by Mrs. ScottWilliams. At about 10 o'clock this morning it was reported that the fire had broken out again and Mr. T. Beech, of the Point Chevalier Brigade went to the house. Securing a bucket of water he climbed onto the roof, but a rafter gave way and he fell to the floor and
