CLEANING “DIRTY” GUM

PUBLIC DEMONSTRATION GIVEN The monthly meeting of the Kauri Gum Control Board was held yesterday, Mr. M. H. Wynyard presiding. A public demonstration of the board's sum-cleaning plant at Penrose was given, and an address was made by the chairman on the proposals of the board in connection with the treatment of and markets for the lower grades of swamp gums. Visitors present were impressed with the efficacy of the plant in cleaning “dirty” gum. and the high standard of purity of the grades produced by the plant.
