There are still 8,000,000 bicycles in use in France, and they contribute nearly £1,200,000 in taxes. The French refuse to relinquish this convenient and highly personal means of locomotion. It is efpected that Sir Henry Segrave’s 231 miles an hour car, the Golden Arrow, will be exhibited in Wellington early next year in connection with a showing of 1930 British cars. Arrangements to ship the famous car to New Zealand were made a month ago. It will certainly prove a great attraction.
