KARAMEA FROM LONDON. The Shaw, Savill and Albion motor-ship Karamea is scheduled to' arrive from London on August 27. She has general merchandise for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Napier. REMUERA FROM HOME. —The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Remuera is scheduled to leave Southampton for New Zealand on August 30 with passengers, mail and cargo. The cargo is for discharge at Auckland and Wellington. The vessel is d.ue at Auckland on October 4.
RONA SAILS TOMORROW. —At present at Chelsea wharf discharging raw sugar, the Colonial Sugar Refining Company’s vessel Rona, is announced to sail for Fiji, via Sydney, at 3 p.m. tomorrow. HINEMOA IN DOCK. —The late Government steamer Hinemoa went into Calliope Dock yesterday afternoon in continuation of her overhaul and refit for tourist traffic between Bluff and the Sounds. WAIOTAPU SAILING. —At five o’clock this afternoon the Union Company’s trans-Pacific cargo steamer Waiotapu is to be dispatched from Auckland for Melbourne and Sydney to complete her discharge of Pacific Coast cargo. KAITOKE SAILS TOMORROW. —The local office of the Union Company advises thatthe collier Kaitoke is to leave Auckland at 1 p.m. tomorrow for Gladstone, Queensland, where she loads coal for Wellington. AORANG! RETURNING. Leaving Vancouver tomorrow via ports for Auckland and Sydney, the local office of the Union Company expects the R.M.M.S. Aorangi to arrive here on Sunday, September 8. ULIMAROA AT WELLINGTON. —The local office of Huddart, Parker, Ltd., has been advised that the intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa arrived at Wellington at 7.10 a.m. today from Sydney. She sails from Wellington at noon on Friday on her return trip to Sydney. TREGONNEL LEAVES NAURU.—Advice has been received by Henderson and Macfarlane that the Hain Line steamer Tregonnel left Nauru Island on Friday last with 7,550 tons Of phosphates for discharge at Auckland. She is expected here about August 26. PORT GISBORNE AT GISBORNE.— The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Company has been advised that the C. and D. Line’s motor-ship Port Gisborne, now loading at Gisborne, leaves tonight for Napier, thence Auckland, to fill up. She is due here on Friday and is scheduled to sail the following evening for Xew York, Boston and London via Panama. WAIPAHI’S PROGRAMME. —The local office of the Union Company advises that the fruit steamer Waipahi, which left Rarotonga at 6 p.m. last Friday for Auckland, and is due here on Friday, is expected to sail again from this port next Tuesday for Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Atiu and Mauke.
ROTORUA AT COLON. —According to cable advice received by the local office of the Xew Zealand Shipping Company, the liner Rotorua arrived at Colon on Saturday last. The liner, which is en route from London and Southampton to Wellington, Lyttelton and Bluff, is due at Wellington on September 6MATAROA AT LYTTELTON. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the liner Mataroa, which arrived at Lyttletoh this morning from Timaru, later proceeds to Wellington, where she completes loading and finally departs on August 2S for Southampton and London, via Panama. NARBADA FROM EAST. —En route from Calcutta via ports, the Union Company’s chartered steamer Xadbada is expected to pass Thursday Island about Sunday next. The vessel, which is bringing, cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff, is due here on September . M ARISTON FOR MAKATEA—Henderson and Macfarlane advises that the steamer Mariston, -which has been discharging Ocean Island phosphates at Lyttelton and Port Chalmers, leaves the Otago port today for Westport for bunkers before proceeding to Makatea to load another phosphate cargo for Xew Zealand. TAINUI FROM HOME. —Advice received by L. D. Nathan and Co. states that the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Tainui, from London and Southampton, berthed at Wellington yesterday morning to land her passengers Later in the day she left Wellington for Lyttelton, thence Port Chalmers and Timaru, to discharge her London cargo. Passengers for Auckland arrived here by this morning’s Limited. H.M.S. DUNEDIN RETURNING THURSDAY. —Returning to Auckland from the Australian manoeuvres, via Southern ports, H.M.S. Dunedin is due m the stream on Thursday morning, and will berth at Sheerlegs Wharf. The vessel will remain here until September 3, when she is scheduled to sail for Wellington. At the capital a change of commodore will take place, and the warship is to leave there for Auckland on September 18, and is due here two days later.
NEW MOTOR-LINERS. —The New Zealand Shipping Company’s three new Rangitiki, Rangitata and Rangitana are all scheduled to reach New Zealand within the next five months. The Rangitiki is to leave Southampton on September 27 for Auckland and Wellington. and is due at Auckland on October 30. Also for Auckland and Wellington the Rangitata is to leave Southampton on November 22. She is due at Auckland on December 24. The Rangitana is scheduled to clear Southampton for Wellington and Auckland on December 20. She is due at Wellington on January 22, and at Auckland a week later. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. —The Waikawa, from Vancouver, Union Bay and Ocean Falls, will leave the lastnamed port on Thursday for San Francisco and Los Angeles. She will clear Los Angeles on August 31 for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The WaiHemo left Westport on August 13 for Vancouver direct, where she is due on September 8, and will load for w ellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The Waitemata will leave Suva today for Honolulu and Vancouver. The Hauraki left Wellington on Saturday for Melbourne, where she is due on Friday', and will go thence to Adelaide and Sydney. The Waiotapu, from Pacific Coast, via Papeete, arrived at Auckland at 6 p.m. on Saturday, and will leave todav for Melbourne and Sydney, and return to Vancouver, via Fanning Island. The Wairuna left Los Angeles on August 7 for Lyttelton, where she is due on September 3, going thence to Dunedin, Xelson, Xew Plymouth, Wellington and Xapier, and will return to Vancouver direct.
TOFUA RETURNING. —Due at Apia from Tonga on Thursday, the Union Company’s Island steamer Tofua is to sail for Suva and Auckland on Saturday. She is due at Auckland on September 2. TASMANIA DUE. —The Xew Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tasmania is scheduled to reach Auckland from Liverpool on August 27. She has general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. BRUNSWICK DUE.-rAn expected arrival at Auckland about Saturday is the electrically-driven oil-tanker Brunswick from Los Angeles. The vessel is under charter to the Atlantic Union Oil Company. She has a bulk oil cargo for discharge into the company’s tanks at Auckland. Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. CUMBERLAND TO COMPLETE —The Xew Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the Federal Line steamer Cumberland is to leave Xapier tonight and Gisborne on Friday night for Auckland to complete loading Xew Zealand produce for London. The vessel is due on Saturday and she is to be dispatched for London, via Panama, on August 2S. SCOTSCRAIG REPORTS.— Wireless advice received by A. G. Frankham, Limited, from the steamer Scotscraig, states that she will arrive from Galveston, Texas, about August 28. The vessel has a full cargo of sulphur for discharge at Auckland, Newcastle, Sydney and Port Kembla. She is making an exceptionally prolonged voyage. If she arrives according to her wireless advice, the passage from Panama to Auckland will have occupied 35 days. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE— The following vessels are expected to be within range of the undermentioned wireless stations tonight:— Auckland. —Tutanekai, Tofua, Brunswick, Golden Cross, Maui Pomare, Karamea, Waipahi. Chatham Islands. —Huntingdon, Tasmania, Arlington Court. Wellington. —Maori, Wahine, Xgaio. Arahura, Port Gisborne, Lumen, Hertford, H.M.S. Diomede. Awarua. —Maunganui, Tahiti, Golden Coast, Manuka, Hauraki.
