PROTEST AGAINST HIGH VALUES (Ft otn Our Oven Correspondent J TE KUITI, Today. As an outcome of a meeting held at Te Kuiti, the newly-formed Te Kuiti Freeholding Association decided to present a petition to Parliament respecting the high values placed on the properties in Te Kuiti which were freeholded a few years ago. The Taumarunui Chamber of Commerce agreed to co-operate with Tc Kuiti. and Mr. G. P. Finlay, of Auckland. who was Mayor of Te Kuiti when the freeholding was carried out. has been asked to prepare the petition. The association Is sanguine regarding the result of the petition, as it believes it has a very good case to put before Parliament.
