Mr- J- F. Mackley was a passenger for Wellington by the Limited last erening.
pr. R H- Makgill, of the Departm pnt of Health. Auckland, left for Wellington by train last evening.
Mr. W. Russell Wood left last evening to adjudicate in the elocutionary sections at the Greymoutli Competitions.
Messrs. J. Waugh, R. Johnstone, and C. Wilson were among the arrivals from the South by the Limited this morning.
Mr. F. W. Furkert, engineer-in-chief of the Public Works Department, is visiting Auckland and is staying at the Star Hotel.
Professor Arnold Wall, of Canterbury C ollege, is spending a short holiday in Auckland and is staying at Fernleigh, Symonds Street.
The Hon. J. B. Donald. PostmasterGeneral, who has been spending the week-end in Auckland, will return to Wellington this evening.
The Hon. E. A. Ransom. Minister of Public Works, and Mr. J. B. Thompson, Under-Secretary of Lands, leave for the South this evening.
Canon J. It. Wilford, rector of College House, Christchurch, who returned from England by the Ki mu taka, left for the South by the Limited last evening.
Mr. W. "Wallace, chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, returned yesterday by train from Wellington. He has been visiting the South on hospital business. Mr. G. McNamara, Secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department, who has been attending the International Postal Congress in London, is due to arrive at Fremantle on Tuesday next, and in Wellington September 9.
