PORT AUCKLAND AT LONDON. —The C. and D. Line is in receipt of cabled advice that the Port Auckland arrived at London on Wednesday morning from Wellington. The vessel left Wellington on July 3. MALAKAND FROM LONDON. —The Cunard steamer Malakand, running under the auspices of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, is scheduled to leave London for Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and Nelson next Wednesday. CORINTHIC AT SOUTHAMPTON.— Advice received by the Shaw. Savill and Albion Company states that the liner Corinthic reached Southampton from New Zealand last Tuesday. She was dispatched from Wellington on July 6. MAILS ARRIVING. The ActingChief Postmaster has received advice at the Ulimaroa, which left Sydney for TVeilington yesterday, has 118 bags of English, Eastern and Australian mail for Auckland MAHIA LEAVES COLON. —Cabled news has been received by the Shaw Savill and Albion Company that the Mahia left Colon on Tuesday afternoon for New York, Boston, Halifax and London, en route from Auckland. The vessel sailed from Auckland on July 22. TAINUI DUE TOMORROW. —To land passengers and mail from Southampton, the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tainui will arrive at Wellington tomorrow morning. She also has general merchandise from London for discharge at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Timaru. CARGO FROM MONTREAL. —The Canadian National Steamships have been notified by cable that the Canadian Cruiser, as an extra steamer, was to leave Montreal on Thursday with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Australian ports. RIMUTAKA DUE.— Due in the stream at Auckland at 4.30 p.m. todav from London and Southampton, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Rimutaka will berth about 5.30 p.m. at the Queen's Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. She later proceeds to Wellington to complete discharge.
CARGO FROM THE EAST. —The Union Company’s Indian trader Narbado, en route from Calcutta and Penang, is reported to have cleared Singapore for Samarang last Wednesday to complete loading Eastern produce for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due at Auckland about September 4. Also running under the auspices of the Union Company, the steamer Camaria is reported to have sailed from Calcutta for Wellington last Wednesday. RARANGA IN PORT The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Raranga arrived in the stream at Auckland yesterday afternoon from Liverpool with general merchandise from West of England ports. Cargo for Auckland is being unloaded at Queen’s Wharf and the vessel will afterward go to Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff to complete discharge. The Raranga sailed from Liverpool on July 6. She reached Colon on July 22 and cleared Balboa on the same day. Generally fair weather prevailed until August 5, but afterward there was continuoos stormy weather, with variable winds and high seas. Captain 'F. J. Ogilvie is in command, and he has associated with him the following officers:—Chief, Mr. E. Robertson; second, Mr. J. R. Laurenson; third, Mr. A. Turnbull; fourth, Mr. G. Imery; chief engineer, Mr. D. Urquhart; second, Mr. D. Hardy; third, Mr. A. Compton: fourth, Mr. R. Marshall; fifth, Mr. W. Maddick; sixth, Mr. W. Kirton; seventh, Mr. T. Kelly; wireless operator, Mr. P. J. Arthurs; chief steward, Mr. F. E. Breeden. A. S. Paterson and Company, Limited, the local agent, expects to dispatch the vessel next Wednesday.
