UNUSUAL NOTE STRUCK 1 IN NEW PRODUCTION j FOR M. CHEVALIER 1 Maurice Chevalier, the French revue star who, over night made for himself a film name in "Innocents of Paris,” -will appear soon in a talking picture operetta. It is entitled “The Love Parade,” and is described as a drama, fantasy, comedy and spectacle. Jeanette MacDonald, star of Broadway, will play the lead with the French musical comedy star. A libretto by Guy Bolton, author of “Sally” and many other Broadway hits, lyrics by Clifford Gray and music by Victor Schertzinger, composer of 1 “Marcheta” and “Just an Old Love Song” are features of this production. “The Love Parade” is the story of i Krnest Vajda based on “The Prince ! Consort.” famous Kuropean stage success by Leon Xanrof and Jules i Chancel. An audible and optical extravaganza I laid against an up-to-date background with ultra modern settings of a sort not yet attempted by Hollywood artis- : ans, is the claim made by the pro- | ducers. Paramount.
