TENNIS DANCE

Annual Function Held by St. Heliers Club

BLUE AND GOLD DECORATIONS The Peerless Half, St. Heliers Bay, was gaily decorated on Thursday evening, when St. Heliers Tennis Club held its annual dance. The club colours, blue and gold, were used to excellent effect. The success of the dance was largely due to the efforts of the committee and helpers, while Edgar Bendall’s Collegians added to the enjoyment of the dance. During the evening Mr. L. J. Keyes presented the trophies won during the past season. Among those present were:—Mrs. D. Butler, wearing black ring velvet, and Slack ,Miss E. Jarvie, Mrs. Pegler, Mrs. satin and georgette; Mrs. T. Hayes, lettuce green georgette; Mrs. Hart, who wore cyclamen beaded georgette; Mrs. Williamson, in black chiffon velvet; Airs. Cruickshank, moonlight blue lace; Mrs. M. White, in flesh pink satin; Mrs. R. Crewther. wearing rose crepe de chine; Mrs. E. Bradley, gold lame and silk net; Airs. J. White, who was in ivory satin; Mrs. D. Young, wearing lemon taffeta; Airs. G. Goldsbro, mauve taffeta. Airs. P. Hayes, who wore blush pink georgette; Airs. B. Cahill, in rose chiffon velvet; Mrs. E. Forde, daffodil georgette and silk net; Airs. E. Stubbs, wearing flame satin; Mrs. N. Shirley, who chose duck egg blue satin and lace; Mrs. R. Ale Adam, in turquoise georgette; Airs. K. Arc Donald, nile green georgete; Airs. AT. Hardman, who was frocked in apple green frilled georgette; Airs. M. Watson, wearing shell pink taffeta; Airs. E. Campbel, in salmon georgette and lace: Airs. G. Browne, who wore lemon frilled georgette.

Airs. Kretchmar, who chose coral pink lace: Airs. Williams, in gold lace; Airs. S. Keyes, wearing nile green satin and lace: Airs. B. Koefoed, ivory georgette; Airs. Scotting, who had on oyster satin; Airs. G. Skelton, in shell pink georgette; Airs. J. Smith, wearing black georgette; Airs. M. Riddell, who was frocked in blue satin and lace; Alias AL Goldsbro, in black ring velvet, appliqued motifs; Aliss P. Derham, who had on a frock of ankle-length orange chenille and net; Aliss G. Goldsbro, wearing ciel blue taffeta and diamente; Aliss Z. Derham, in duchess blue taffeta, with uneven hemline; Aliss E. Porter, who had on eau de nil silk lace.
