Y.M.C.A. TENNIS CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING Tho annual general meeting of the Y.AI.C.A-. Tennis Club was recently
held in the rooms of the Y.AI.C.A., with a good attendance of members. Officers elected for the coming season were as follow: President, Air. E. E. Kitchener; secretary, Aliss E. Kitchener; treasurer, Aliss E. Steele; executive committee, Misses E. Beaumont. G. Ross, V. Waldrond. Alessrs. H. V. Tregear, L. Haynes, AI. Lannigan; club captain, Air. W. Fortune; Match Committee, Misses L. Alercer and E. Scott. Messrs. AI. Lannigan and H. V. Tregear; delegates to the A.L.T. Association. Alessrs. W. Fortune and AI. Lannigan. The chairman reported that some £SO had been spent on the top-dress-ing and other improvements of courts and grounds since the closing down last season, and this work had been done under the direct supervision of Air. Davis, of the Stanley Street courts. The raising of the money necessary for defraying the cost of this work had been undertaken by certain friends of the club with a view to securing a larger playing membership for the coming season and at the same time to raising the club’s standard of play.
