JUTE STRIKE ENDED
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM INDIA PAY FOR EXTRA HOURS (Australian and N.Z. Press AssociationJ Reed. 11 a.m. DELHI, Friday. An official communique announces that a settlement has been reached in the jute strike. It is hoped that work will be resumed on Monday. The employers agree to pay a proportionate increase on the total earnings for extra hours worked.
