LIEUTENANT PUNISHED FOR FATAL MISHAP ACCIDENT ON VINDICTIVE British Official Wireless Reed. 11 a.m. RUGBY, Friday. Lieutenant Simon Borrett, of H.M.S. Vindictive, was dismissed his ship and severely reprimanded by a court-mar tial at Chatham, as a result of the explosion in the Vindictive at Chatham on July 23, by which an engineroom artificer was fatally injured, and two stokers were hurt.

He was found guilty of neglect of his duty in allowing a fuse bomb to be supplied and sectioned without properly ascertaining whether it was safe or dangerous t . be cut up.
