PUKEKOHE ORPHANS’ CLUB

The meeting of the Pukekohe Orphans’ Club held held last evening was one of the brightest and most successful in the history of the club. The chairman was Vice-president Bro. S. P. Day. The official guests were the president, Bro. C. J. Lovegrove, Vicepresident Bro. G. R. Hogan, Secretary Bro. H. Scott, the executive and members of the Tamaki Orphans’ Club. Other visitors included Past-President and Secretary Bro. G. V. Pearce and members of the Otahuhu Orphans’ Club, in addition to Past-President Bro. Rev. W. C. Wood and Vice-Presi-dent Bro. T. C. Seaton, of the Papakura Orphans’ Club. A pleasantly-Varied programme of instrumental, vocal and elocutionary items was contributed to by the orchestra, Bros. Green (Otahuhu), J. Smithson (Auckland), Gordon Hamilton, Turner (Tamaki), Rainger (Otahuhu), Todd (Otahuhu), Owen and Stan. Pritchard (Tamaki).
