CUSTOMS OFFICER’S FUNERAL

A large number of people attended the funeral yesterday afternoon of Mr. X. Glanfield, late of the Customs Department, Auckland. Mr. Glanfield, who was a well-known and popular officer, died on Monday morning after a short illness. The funeral left his residence in Ely Street, Remuera, for the Hillsborough Cemetery. Members of the Masonic Order attended and there were many wreaths.
