Advice was received that the Lot.Government Loans Board had sanctioned the proposal to raise a oan • £6.000 for dredging between Onera 1 and Kioreroa. The board evidently based its opifl; ion on the present state of tiie cor trade at Hikurangi, commented Air. P. Gardner. The board went into comm-itec " discuss the question, and on resununs in open meeting decided to make application for permission to raise an ditional £6,000 for dredging i>ctwec.* Onerahi and Kioreroa.
